Two drivers injured after accidents in separate incidents

It has been a busy Friday morning for area firefighters and paramedics who were called to two injury accidents — one in Montoursville and another in Williamsport — in two hours.

One crash occurred at Weldon and Mayr streets in the borough, where Jeanette Bower, of Williamsport, driving a Chevrolet Trax and Ashley Raniero, of Williamsport, driving a Ford Escape collided about 8 a.m.

The Trax overturned, briefly trapping Bower, who was taken to UPMC Williamsport to be treated for her injuries, borough police said. Borough firefighters freed the trapped woman.

Another crash occurred on Reach Road, just west of the U.S. Post Office, where Dalton Raymond, 31, of Williamsport, was taken to UPMC Williamsport after his car struck a utility pole, police said. A brief power outage occurred.
