Motorist locked up on criminal charges
Tyrea Golden, 30, of Wilkes-Barre, was charged with resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance after packets of heroin were discovered on him and in his car following traffic stop Montoursville police conducted in the 300 block of Broad Street about 11:10 p.m on May 24, investigators alleged in an affidavit. Police initially stopped Golden for two summary traffic violations. He briefly bolted from a state trooper who was assisting at the scene, but he was nabbed less then a block away. Following his arraignment hours later, he was jailed in lieu of $$35,000 bail.
