Two charged with felony shoplifting in separate cases

Using her own personalized Weis club card, Barbara Lee Cook, 47, of 2419 W. Fourth St., stole $515 worth of merchandise from the Weis store at 305 River Ave. between mid-February and mid-July, state police alleged in court papers. Following her arraignment last week before District Judge Gary Whiteman on one felony charge of shoplifting, Cook was released on $15,000 bail.

In another case, Laura Marie Faivre, 40, of 1176 Village Road, Pennsdale, has been charged with felony shoplifting after she took $3 worth of merchandise from Sheetz, 45 Muncy Creek Blvd., Muncy Creek Township about 7:30 a.m. on July 7, state police alleged in an affidavit. This was her fourth shoplifting arrest, police said. Following her arraignment before District Judge William Solomon, Faivre was also released on $15,000 bail.
