This was the scene Williamsport firefighters faced when they arrived at Penn Recycling, 2525 Trenton Ave., Williamsport, to investigate a fire in a large pile of shredded scrap metal about 10:20 a.m. Sunday. The file was about 15 high and 50 feet wide, fire officials said, adding that it took about two hours to extinguish. Old Lycoming Township firefighters assisted at the scene. The cause of the fire was undetermined.
