Lycoming County Prison inmate faces a new set of charges
Additional charges have been lodged against Lycoming County Prison inmate Phillip Leslie Morgan Jr., who has been incarcerated since Nov. 9 on offenses stemming from a disturbance in his neighborhood. Morgan, 32, of 935 Memorial Ave., has now been charged with indecent exposure, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct as a result of an incident in which he jumped on the front of passing bus while naked in the 900 block of Park Avenue about 6:15 a.m. on Oct. 25, city police alleged in an affidavit. About 12 hours later, he smashed a glass tabletop on the front porch at 635 Campbell St. and threw belongings off the same porch, police alleged. He waived his preliminary hearing Thursday before Biichle and is free on $2,500 bail in the case, but remains locked up in lieu of $5,000 bail on charges in which he smashed a neighbor’s mailbox and yelled profanities at another neighbor, police allege. In yet a third case, he waived a preliminary hearing last week on assault-related charges filed by UPMC Williamsport police. Those charges stem from him allegedly creating a disturbance at the hospital on Nov.3, police said.
