Clinton County motorcyclist charged with additional offense related to police pursuit
Jason Robert Yahn, 41, of Lock Haven, arrested on Nov. 25 and subsequently jailed on DUI and evading arrest charges following a pursuit with Lycoming Regional police while riding a motorcycle on Route 220 in Piatt Township, faces an additional charge of tampering with evidence. It turned out that when he was taken into custody at the Susquehanna Campground, where he was hiding under a camper, he had ditched a backpack that has since been recovered, police said in an amended criminal affidavit.
Upon reviewing the body-worn camera the officer involved in the pursuit was wearing, police could see that Yahn was wearing a blue backpack that he did not have with him upon his apprehension. Police returned to the camper and found the backpack that had 14 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Yahn was arraigned before District Judge Denise Dieter on the additional charge last week, and remains behind bars at the county prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
