After striking the rear of a stopped vehicle with his 2004 Jeep Cherokee at East Third Street and Westminster Drive about 6:20 p.m. on Oct. 10, Colby McCormick, 33, of 308 ½ Jordan Ave., Montoursville, fled the scene, state police alleged in an affidavit. When questioned a week later about the crash, McCormick told a trooper he “was very tired and got nervous, so he fled,” the court document stated. “He understood it was not the right decision,” the trooper said. Charged with accidents involving damage to attended vehicle (hit-run) and two summary offenses, McCormick has waived his preliminary hearing before District Judge Gary Whiteman and is free on $5,000 bail.
