Two arrested following separate domestic disturbances in Williamsport

Following a domestic disturbance at his home about 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jamar M. Hill, 29, of 419 Allen St., Williamsport, was arrested on charges of simple assault and harassment, and jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail following his arraignment before District Judge Denise Dieter, according to city police. During an argument with a woman inside the house, Hill slapped her multiple times in her buttocks and choked her while yelling at her, police alleged in an affidavit. The woman was “in fear of her life and did not feel safe around Hill,” the court document stated.

In another domestic case city police brought before Dieter, Joseph R. Cieczko, 29, of 1627 Catherine St., Williamsport, was charged with simple assault and harassment “pinning his wife down, shaking her and striking her multiple times in the head and face” on Jan. 16, an officer alleged in a court document. The couple had been “fighting off and on for several days,” the officer was told. Arraigned Tuesday, Cieczko remains behind bars in lieu of $10,000 bail.
