Two women face charges following Williamsport disturbance involving ‘dozens of juveniles’

April Sharlay Bridges, 31, of 1417 Scott St., and Jackie Lavern Cooper, 30, of 616 Grace St., Williamsport, face charges for their alleged involvement in a disturbance involving “dozens of juveniles” in the 700 block of Memorial Avenue, Williamsport, about 3 p.m. on Oct. 24, city police said. As two female juveniles in the group were fighting with one another, Cooper pepper sprayed one of them while yelling at the other to “whoop her” and “uppercut her,” it was alleged in an affidavit. Police also allege that Bridges made threats to some of the juveniles while she carried a small bat. Both women have been charged with corrupting the morals of a minor and disorderly conduct while Bridges faces one additional count of riot and Cooper one additional count of simple assault, police said. Bridges and Cooper are both free on bail following court proceedings before District Judge Aaron Biichle.
