Jersey Shore man charged with drug offenses

After being stopped by state police for an inoperable registration light, Jonah Lefever, 44, of 56 Drake Lane, Jersey Shore, faces several drug charges after a consensual search of his vehicle turned up several-drug-related items, an affidavit said.
His hands shaking, and appearing nervous, Lefever told police he was “just out and about.” When inquired about a glass smoking device between the driver’s side seat and door, Lefever allegedly proceeded to push it under his seat, authorities said.
During a consensual search of the vehicle, police recovered the device as well as a clear plastic bag containing suspected psychedelic mushrooms, containers of various sizes containing suspected cocaine, six glass smoking devices, a silver spoon, a container filled with an unknown liquid, a hypodermic need and more according to court documents.
Lefever was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license and driving with an inoperable rear light by District Judge William Solomon.
