Several arraigned on assault charges in various cases

Three face charges in separate domestic disturbances

Natace Allen Walburn, 21, of 1252 Route 239, Unityville, has been charged with simple assault and harassment after he pushed his girlfriend onto a couch during a disturbance at the couple’s home in Jordan Township on Sept. 21, state police alleged. The victim landed on the edge of the sofa, resulting in a large bruise to her buttocks for which she had to be treated at UPMC Muncy, police said. Walburn has since waived his preliminary hearing before District Judge Kirsten Gardner and remains jailed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.

In another domestic disturbance, Ian Michael Myers, 27, of 1822 Back St., Montoursville, was arrested on charges of terroristic threats and harassment after he punched his wife in the chest and told her, “I can kill the both of us right now” about 10 a.m. on Saturday, state police alleged in court documents. Arraigned hours later before District Judge Aaron Biichle, Myers remains locked up in lieu of $50,000 bail.

In a third disturbance, Jacob Alexander Mosteller, 19, of 1072 Clarktown Road, Muncy, has been charged with simple assault for shoving his grandmother to the pavement at the Clarkstown Road property after he had been ordered to vacate the premises on Sept. 22, state police alleged. He was held for court last week following a hearing before Gardner and remains free on $25,000 bail.

Elderly man charged with indecent assault

Vithalbhai Patel, 84, of 2295 Lycoming Creek Road, has been charged with indecent assault, criminal trespassing and harassment for allegedly having inappropriate contact with a woman in Old Lycoming Township on June 25, according to Lycoming Regional police.

Patel has been sent a summons to appear before District Judge William Solmon.

State prison inmate faces new charge

Taryn Henthorn, 32, an inmate at the State Correctional Institution at Muncy, has been charged with felony aggravated harassment by a prisoner for allegedly spitting in the face of a corrections officer at the prison on Route 405 in Clinton Township on July 6, according to state police. Following her recent arraignment before Gardner, Henthorn was recommitted in lieu of $15,000 bail.
