New senior vice

president for bank

Rob Glunk, president and CEO of The Muncy Bank and Trust Co., recently announced that the company has named Tammy Gunsallus senior vice president and chief sales officer.

With over 33 years banking experience, Gunsallus will oversee the retail lending, loan administration, branch administration, investment services and commercial services functions for the bank.  She will also be an integral part of the new Avis and Linden branch business development team. Prior to joining Muncy Bank, Gunsallus held the position of senior vice president for another local bank overseeing retail lending, training and indirect lending.  Gunsallus is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Banker’s Association’s School of Banking, the PBA Advanced School of Banking and the PBA Commercial Lending School.

Active in the local community, Gunsallus is a member of the board of the Jersey Shore Chamber, YWCA, and the Lycoming County United Way. She is a committee member for the Jersey Shore Library Endowment and the Jersey Shore Source Water Committee while also serving as the treasurer of the Mt.  Zion United Methodist Church.  She is the past president of the Jersey Shore YMCA and past chairwoman of the Jersey Shore Chamber of Commerce.   She recently was named a 2016 Women of Excellence Nominee by the YWCA of Northcentral PA.

According to Glunk, “The experience and knowledge that Tammy is bringing to The Muncy Bank and Trust Co. will allow us to expand our market area and continue to offer the type of community banking that has made Muncy Bank successful.”

The Muncy Bank and Trust Co. was established in 1893 and serves customers through their retail banking, commercial banking and investment services divisions.  Muncy Bank Community offices are located in Muncy, Clarkstown, Hughesville, Montoursville and Dewart. New community offices are opening in Linden and Avis in 2017.

This month, five Citizens and Northern Bank employees were recognized for a combined 70 years of service to the financial institution.

Recognized during the October service awards luncheon were: Kelly Fasse, mortgage loan sales officer, Mansfield, for 25 years; Robert Miller, maintenance, Wellsboro, for 20 years; George Greeley, senior underwriter, Wellsboro, for 15 years; Amber Kuleck, customer transaction specialist, Emporium, for 5 years  and Hannah Kelly, customer transaction specialist, Troy, also for 5 years.

Service awards luncheons are held regularly and hosted by Citizens and Northern Bank president and CEO Brad Scovill. In 2016, Citizens and Northern Bank will recognize 58 employees for a total of 755 years of service to the company. Jessica Prettyleaf Hicks has joined the Vestal office of AXA Advisors LLC. The announcement was made by Joseph DiMora, an executive vice president of the National Division of AXA Advisors LLC and manager of its Syracuse branch.

Hicks holds a bachelors degree in business administration and finance from Bloomsburg University. In addition, she has earned her FINRA Series 7 and 63 registrations and her Life, Accident and Health license. She resides in Athens with her husband.
