Awards highlight chamber’s annual banquet meeting

Three area businesses were honored at the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce’s annual awards and banquet meeting Thursday at the Holiday Inn.

“We’re looking to improve and expand,” said Lance Thomas, co-owner of ClearView Asset Protection, a Hughesville area company that provides security technology for its business clientele.

ClearView Asset Protection on Green Valley Road, just east of the borough, was recipient of the Emerging Business Award, presented by Timothy J. Keohane, director, Penn State Small Business Development Center.

Also honored by the chamber were Savoy Contract Furniture of Montoursville, which received the Large Business Award, that was presented to Adam Savoy by Philip H. Johnson, president, M&T Bank in the region.

Rounding out the business awards — Hilsher Graphics — recipient of the Phillips/Plankenhorn Small Business Award.

The award was preceded by a video presentation with workers testimonials and customer vouching they’ve received excellent products and customer service.

Jayme Hilsher-Sherman, a third-generation family worker and sales consultant, held the award up for Sally and John Hilsher, who were seated on a nearby table.

“I’m sure you’re thrilled to have this,” she said.
