LHU nursing program granted continuing accreditation status
LOCK HAVEN — The Lock Haven University RN to BSN online nursing program has been granted continuing accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) Board of Commissioners.
The ACEN supports the interests of nursing education, nursing practice, and the public by the functions of accreditation. Accreditation is a voluntary, peer-review, self-regulatory process by which non-governmental associations recognize educational institutions or programs that have been found to meet or exceed standards and criteria for educational quality, according to the ACEN website.
To enter the RN to BSN program at LHU, students must have proof of graduation from an accredited nursing program and proof of current registered nurse licensure. Lock Haven University’s Bachelor of Science in nursing program is an entirely online program. Select nursing courses require an external clinical experience.
