Montgomery school district takes lead in county competition
Montgomery High and Middle School are leading the way for the first week of the Lycoming County Stock Market Challenge.
Students represent their schools in a local and competitive, investment competition. Williamsport, South Williamsport, Muncy, Jersey Shore, East Lycoming, Montgomery, Loyalsock Township, St. John Neumann Academy and other private schools are participating in the challenge.
The best student per school wins $25 in each division, with all participating schools. Top ranking students compete for $480 in the county. There are additional prizes for state winners.
A celebration luncheon will be held at Pennsylvania College of Technology on April 30 to honor the schools, teachers and students. Montgomery High School won the fall competition and will be honored at the State Senate on April 30.
