Lycoming CTC students sign on for employment

In a signing ceremony, Lycoming Career and Technology Center students were honored in a ceremony where they announced their upcoming full-time employment following graduation in June.

Joe Barclay, Mason Thouvenot, Preston Pfleegor and Jarhett Potts are construction technology students who have worked throughout their senior year as part of the LycoCTC CoOp program with the same employers who have offered them jobs upon graduation. Barclay, Thouvenot and Potts will be employed by Dohl Construction, Hughesville, and Pfleegor has secured a job with CWD Construction, Muncy.

Along with these Construction students, Marshall Wertz and Parker Smith, both automotive technology students, have also worked their senior year. Wertz has been at Brelsford Motors, Muncy, and Smith has been with Best Line Equipment, Pennsdale. They will remain with these employers full time upon graduation in June.

These students celebrated their new jobs with their employers as their instructors by acknowledging the students’ entry into the trades, administrators, parents and employers honor the importance and value of career and technical education and the skilled workers it produces.
