Pathways to Your Future Career Fair

Williamsport Area Middle School will host its first Pathways to Your Future Career Fair from 8:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Wednesday.

The event is for about 750 seventh- and eighth-grade students to get a better understanding of the skills needed to become gainfully employed in the future.

“We’re hoping to have 50 to 60 participants, including employers, local college representatives and military recruiters,” said Kaitlin Eck, a career counselor at Williamsport Area High School. “Although this event will not provide an immediate workforce for the employers in attendance, we hope through interactive activities, product samples or simulations, students will be engaged in experiences that will help to shape their career plans in the future.”

Representatives from the district’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program will be there, Eck said.
