Students of the month

Haley Neidig, daughter of Elizabeth and Frederick Neidig, is South Williamsport Area High School’s October Student of the Month.

She is the captain of the varsity soccer team and manager of the junior high girls soccer team. She plays basketball and softball, is a member of National Honor Society, treasurer of Key Club and the Class of 2020 and secretary of FCCLA. She participates annually in the schools’ Mini-Thon and enjoys spending time with her friends. Upon graduation, Neidig plans to major in civil engineering and play soccer for the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.

Ediel Rodriguez-Polanco, son of Eddie Roidriguez-Lopez and Maigrette Polanco-Albino, has been named as November Boy of the Month for the Warrensville Area Lions Club. He is a senior at Montoursville Area High School.

His school activities include basketball, baseball, track and field, cross country, Cultural Club, Spanish Club and AP Physics Club. He is a participant in the Make a Wish Benefit and was part of a construction team Mission Trip to Puerto Rico. Following graduation, he plans to attend Boston Architectural College.

Lily Saar, daughter of Amy Saar and Nate Saar, has been named November Girl of the Month for the Warrensville Area Lions Club. She is a senior at Montoursville Area High School.

Her school activities include tennis, track, National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society and Key Club. She is the co-chair of the Warriors Pals Project for Key Club and volunteers in her family and friends’ churches.

Following graduation, she plans to attend college with hopes of becoming a pediatrician.
