Lock Haven University hosts first virtual senior art show
LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven University’s visual and performing arts department will launch their first online exhibition of graduating seniors’ artworks for spring 2020.
The Virtual Graduating Senior Art Show will be available online until May 8.
The artworks of Lock Haven University graduating seniors, Destiny Schmidt, Symone Terrell and Danielle Angeline will be featured during the art show.
The online exhibition marks the beginning of a more comprehensive and expansive showcase for promoting the visual arts at Lock Haven University.
It is the intention of the visual arts program and exhibitions committee to pair the virtual online gallery experience with a face-to-face, public opening and viewing for all future graduating senior shows.
“The online gallery exhibition is a diverse body of work that reflects each contributing artist’s aesthetic vision and creative skills,” said Vance McCoy, Lock Haven University professor and interim chair, university exhibitions committee. “Each graduating senior has created a series of works that are thematically and conceptually related according to their own unique artistic sensibilities. The aesthetic goal is to present a cohesive body of work that explores an aesthetically engaging and thought-provoking experience for the viewer.”
