South Williamsport announces January student of the month
Lydia Dunlap, daughter of Christopher and Kymberly Dunlap, is South Williamsport Area High School’s January student of the month.
Dunlap has participated in varsity volleyball the past two years. She also swam competitively for four years with the Williamsport Area Swim Club and summer swim team while coaching youth to swim in her spare time.
She has been eminently active in Leo Club since freshman year, serving as secretary, vice president and now president. She has participated in chorus and her church choir since freshman year.
Dunlap is a recent recipient of the Bishop’s Youth Award for her involvement with the Military Share program, Wreaths Across America, and the annual church carnival. She has also helped out at her aunt’s food pantry in Chicago for the past five years. Lydia has dedicated a tremendous amount of time to service and will continue to do so in the future. She enjoys hiking, baking, shopping, yoga and being around family and friends. She plans to attend Elizabethtown College this fall to major in criminal justice and criminology with aspirations of becoming a homicide detective/crime scene investigator.
