LHU senior receives student teacher scholarship
Keli Kwiatek, a Lock Haven University senior and graduate of Central Mountain High School, received the Student Teacher Scholarship Award from Omicron Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International Society for Key Women Educators.
The monetary award is given each year to a deserving college student who graduated from a high school in either Lycoming or Clinton counties. Applications were made available to students majoring in education at Lycoming College, Lock Haven University, and Mansfield University.
Kwiatek had superior qualifications. Presently student teaching in second grade, Kwiatek has and will continue to work with children at the YMCA Daycare. Dr. Kayla Mohney and Emily Miller gave outstanding recommendations. Already enrolled in accelerated Master’s program, Kwiatek will graduate in May with an early childhood degree Pre-K-4.
