October Students of the Month-Warrior Run High School

Warrior Run High School honors four seniors each month as Student of the Month. For October, Alayna Kathryn Wilkins, outstanding senior; Dawson Allen Frederick, Turbotville Lions Club Student of the Month; Ethan Daniel Carper, Watsontown Lions Club Student of the Month; and Kalen Lewis Ritenour, Milton Rotary Club Vocational Student of the Month are being celebrated for their involvement in and out of school.

Alayna Kathryn Wilkins, the daughter of Bruce and Rachel Wilkins, is the vice president of National Honor Society and the class of 2022, a member of student council and participates in track, basketball and is the soccer captain at Warrior Run High School. She is involved at the Community Mennonite Fellowship youth group and at the Greater Susquehanna Valley YMCA. In addition to her involvement in and out of school, she has achieved distinguished honor roll and is a district qualifier in basketball and track. She hopes to study communication disorders, Spanish and health science, possibly at Geneva College.

Dawson Allen Frederick, the son of David and Renee Frederick, is involved in choir, the drama club, the play and musical at Warrior Run as well as being a member of the National Honor Society. He volunteers in the community through NHS and is currently employed at Weis Markets in Muncy. He has achieved distinguished honor roll, honor roll, and is president of the choir this year. He has also went to states for his baking skills in 2019. In his free time, he enjoys baking, walking and biking, playing with his dogs, learning piano and playing board games with his family. He hopes to attend either Shippensburg University or Lock Haven University for a bachelor’s in history education and plans to get his master’s in history education to become a high school history teacher.

Ethan Daniel Carper, the son of Nathaniel and Valerie Carper, is involved in various athletic teams in and out of school. He participates in football, wrestling and track and field and volunteers as a Youth A-Ball football coach in his free time. He is also a member of the student council. He is also the football team’s captain. For his tenth and eleventh grade years, he attended Lyco CTC for drafting and design. He plans to attend either Pennsylvania College of Technology or Wilkes University for civil engineering.

Kalen Lewis Ritenour, the son of Jeff and Jessica Ritenour, is senior who participates in wrestling at Warrior Run. He is currently employed in the construction field and hopes to dive right into his career after graduating. Additionally, he hopes to start his own construction business in the future.
