LHU hosts third annual first-gen panel

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven University TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) in conjunction with the Office of Admissions will host the third annual First-Generation Panel as a part of the larger First-Generation Week celebrations. The event will take place from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11 in the Ulmer Hall Planetarium on the campus of LHU.

The First-Generation Panel will consist of six panelists, made up of Lock Haven University faculty, staff, coaches and administrators, all of whom were first-generation students. Panelists will speak about their own experiences in college as a first-gen student, their academic and career pathways after college and their reflections on what they have learned as first-generation students. Current LHU students will also be able to ask the panelists questions about their experiences and any advice that they have for college students today.
