Local universities hold commencement ceremonies

Pennsylvania College of Technology, Lock Haven University and Bloomsburg University will hold their spring commencement ceremonies this weekend.

Penn College will hold three commencement ceremonies to honor the nearly 750 students who petitioned to graduate. On Friday at 3 p.m. a ceremony will be held for students from the School of Business, Arts & Sciences and the School of Nursing & Health Sciences according to a news release. On Saturday, at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. ceremonies will be held for the School of Engineering Technologies which is the college’s largest academic school the release said. Each ceremony will be held at the Community Arts Center and is a ticketed event. All ceremonies will be live-streamed as well. Lycoming College will be holding their commencement on Saturday at 2 p.m. on Fultz Quad. Following the commencement there will be a reception on Fultz Quad as well. The college’s Downtown Art Gallery will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. On Friday there is a Baccalaureate service and class of 2022 reception for students.

Additionally, Lock Haven University will hold its 145th commencement ceremonies for the spring 2022 class this weekend. On Friday, a graduate ceremony will be held at Thomas Fieldhouse at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday, an undergraduate ceremony will be held at the Hubert Jack Stadium at 9 a.m. according to a news release. Bloomsburg University will hold a graduate commencement ceremony on Friday at 6 p.m. in the Haas Center for the Arts. On Sunday at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. there will be undergraduate commencement ceremonies. At 10 a.m. the ceremony will be held for the College of Education and College of Liberal Arts and at 3 p.m. the ceremony will be held for the College of Science and Technology and the Zeigler College of Business. Both undergraduate commencement ceremonies will be held at the Redman Stadium.
