City man allegedly steals pickup truck, cash from 2 employers

A city man has been incarcerated for allegedly stealing a pickup truck from his employer and taking cash from a former employer, according to court records filed by state police.

Police allege Jason M. Wurster, 25, of 2131 W. Third St., stole the truck from J.B. Gibbons Construction and drove it to The Car Wash at Faxon, near East Third Street and Northway Road, about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

A former employee at the car wash, Wurster used a key he had to enter the business illegally, police allege. Once inside, he obtained a second key that gave him access to the money machines, police said. He stole an estimated $565 from the machines, police said, adding that Wurster did not have permission to have the pickup truck or be inside the car wash during closing.

Taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon, Wurster was arraigned before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman on charges of burglary, felony trespassing, theft, receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
