City man cleared after police drop charges

JERSEY SHORE – Tiadaghton Valley Regional police have dropped all charges against Thomas Gonzalez, 52, of 1016 Dewey Ave., Williamsport, according to court records filed at the office of District Judge Jerry C. Lepley.

Gonzalez was charged in mid-March after allegedly failing to complete his end of a deal he made with Lee Vergara, who paid him $3,000 to do work on his home at 123 Staver St. in late December.

Police last week withdrew two counts each of deceptive business practices and home improvement fraud.
