2 men accused of recording statutory rape, jailed in lieu of $150K bail each
Two 20-year-old men have been jailed on charges of allegedly engaging in sexual acts with an underage girl which they recorded on their cellphones, state police said.
Lynn Eugene Kyle, of 1035 Northway Road, Linden, and Jalil Donte Harris, of 846 Park Ave., have been arraigned before District Judge Jon E. Kemp on various offenses.
The two men allegedly recorded engaging in sexual activity with the minor at a home in Woodward Township on Aug. 15, police said.
Kyle also allegedly engaged in sexual acts with two other female minors in Woodward Township back in late May, police said. Some of these sexual activities also were recorded on a cellphone, police said.
Kyle has been charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual abuse of children, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault and corrupting the morals of minors. Harris has been charged with sexual assault, sexual abuse of children and corrupting the morals of minors.
Both men were committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail each.
In another criminal case involving Kyle, Old Lycoming Township police charged him with a firearm violation for allegedly putting down false information on an application to purchase a firearm at the Bass Pro Shop, 1699 Dewey Ave., on April 19. Following his arraignment last week on this charge, he was released on $15,000 bail.
