Man imprisoned twice in 1 week
A man released from prison just a few days ago has found his way back after allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
Harry J. Burley, 55, homeless, was released from the Philadelphia prison system Thursday, and is now jailed in Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail, according to a press release.
At 9 a.m. Saturday, police received a phone call from Jaimee Fiegles claiming Burley stole her LG phone while she was parked at the Williamsport Family Medical Center.
Fiegles allegedly followed Burley in an attempt to get her phone back.
Fiegles alleged Burley then struck her in the face and head multiple times in the parking lot of Magisterial District Judge William C. Solomon on Lycoming Creek Road.
Fiegles had a bloody lip while speaking to police, according to the press release.
When located by police, Burley allegedly was found in possession of Fiegles’ cell phone and a small amount of marijuana.
He was charged with robbery, misdemeanor simple assault, theft, receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance, according to the release.
A preliminary hearing is set for 3 p.m. Wednesday.
The press release did not say the reason for Burley’s last imprisonment.
