27 charged with various crimes

Twenty-seven people have been charged with various criminal offenses, according to court records. Those charged and the law enforcement agencies involved were:

• Jason Weikel, 40, of Mount Carmel; city police; felony shoplifting after he was caught allegedly trying to steal $37 worth of merchandise from Wegmans, 201 William St., on Tuesday; released on $15,000 bail; this was his third shoplifting arrest.

• Nadia Mills, 23, of 1311 Washington Blvd.; state police; simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment after allegedly striking Shamira Barnes in the head with a an umbrella in Mills’ apartment about 12:20 a.m. on Sunday; jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail.

• Kyle Buttorff, 30, of 311 Buttorff Lane, Collomsville; state police; resisting arrest, possession of cocaine, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and possession of drug paraphernalia following an incident outside the state police barracks on Cherry Street in Montoursville about 3:40 a.m. on March 10; police said that he allegedly got into another man’s vehicle, uninvited, while the driver had momentarily stopped in the city; the driver ordered Buttorff to get out, but he refused, police said; the driver drove to the barracks, where upon being ordered out of the car, Buttorff became combative, telling two troopers “Come at me;” troopers restrained him; he allegedly had in his possession a container with cocaine in it; jailed in lieu of $35,000 bail.

• Steven Reem, 41, of 942 McGill Hollow Road, Linden; state police; strangulation, simple assault and harassment after allegedly assaulting Nikki Mistretta at their Woodward Township home about 12:15 a.m. on March 5;

• Breilun McCloe, 27, of 637 Fourth Ave.; city police; possession of handgun with an obliterated serial number, convicted felon not to possess a firearm and carrying a firearm without a license in the 400 block of Washington Boulevard about 9:40 a.m. on March 4; jailed in lieu of $99,000 bail.

• Motorist Nicolle Daniels, 40, 2231 Lincoln St.; city police; DUI in the 2200 block of Lincoln Street on March 2; a bench warrant for her arrest was expected to be filed after she failed to appear for a hearing.

• Motorist Elizabeth Sweet, 39, of 584 B Lower Bodines Road; state police; DUI following a crash on Route 87 in Plunketts Creek Township on Feb. 27; no blood-alcohol content level reading available; released on $7,500 bail.

• Motorist Christopher Probst, 35, of Lock Haven; Tiadaghton Valley Regional police; DUI and careless driving on Route 220 in Piatt Township on Feb. 1; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

•Motorist Jeffrey Dauber, 43, of 233 Valley View Road, Jersey Shore; state police; DUI, accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle or property (hit-run) and careless driving following a crash in the 1800 block of Route 44 North in Watson Township on Jan. 26; he allegedly fled to his home, where he was nabbed shortly after the crash; blood-alcohol content level was .21; this was his third DUI arrest; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

• Barbara Vassor, 28, of 884 W. Fourth St.; city police; misdemeanor criminal mischief after allegedly destroying her ex-boyfriend James Sloan’s motorcycle, smashing it with a brick while it was parked outside her home on the afternoon of Jan. 20; released on $2,500 bail.

• David Maggs, 63, and his daughter, Terra Maggs, 32, both of 220 Sawmill Road, Cogan Station, along with Joseph Moyer, 33, of Mill Hall; state police; possession with intent to deliver two pounds of marijuana that was located at the Maggs’ home on Jan. 12; Terra Maggs faces an additional state police charge of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 500 block of McIntyre Way in Lewis Township on Jan. 27; both father and daughter, along with Moyer are free on $15,000 bail each.

• Joseph Longo, 41, of 941 Factory Road, Cogan Station; state police; possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 100 block of North Loyalsock Avenue in Montoursville on Jan. 16; released on $5,000 bail.

• Cody Auerbach, 24, of 815 W. Fourth St.; Montoursville police; theft for allegedly taking five $20 bills that customer Michael Sheesley accidentally left behind at a self-checkout register at Walmart, 1015 N. Loyalsock Ave. on Jan. 9; store video recorded Auerbach allegedly removing the cash and making no attempt to turn it in; released on $5,000 bail.

• Donya Woods, 32, of 2112 W. Fourth St.; state police; DUI, speeding and careless driving on Interstate 180 in the city on Jan. 4; blood-alcohol content level was .09; released on $3,500 bail.

• Motorist Travis Mosteller, 22, of 2230 W. Fourth St.; state police; DUI and careless driving on Interstate 180 in Loyalsock Township on Dec. 22; blood-alcohol content level was .10; released on $5,000 bail.

• Misty Reynolds, 44, of Lock Haven; state police; seven counts of forgery, three counts of theft by deception and related offenses for allegedly stealing assorted credit cards, a laptop, a DVD player, two rings and seven checks all belonging to Renee Newton that were taken from Newton’s Clinton Township home on Sherwood Drive on Dec. 20; Reynolds forged the checks and used them at various businesses; Reynolds also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia in Clinton Township on Feb. 2; jailed in lieu of $70,000 bail.

• Motorist Jacqueline Daye, 47, of 488 Crawley Hill Road, Hughesville; South Williamsport police; DUI on Route 15 on Nov. 22; blood-alcohol content level was .08; released on $5,000 bail.

• Daniel Baker, 41, of 713 W. Third St.; city police; DUI following a crash at Race Street and Memorial Avenue on Oct. 28; refused to provide a blood sample; released on $2,500 bail.

• Motorist Melissa Kelchner, 48, of 938 Sheridan St., apartment 10; state police; DUI and careless driving at Wilson and Railway streets in the city on Nov. 10; blood-alcohol content level was .11; released on $5,000 bail.

• Nathan Dunlap, 31, of 700 W. Edwin St.; city police; DUI, possession of marijuana, accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle and driving with a suspended license following a hit-run crash in the 600 block of Park Avenue on Oct. 24; initially jailed, but now free on $2,500 bail.

• Jenna Girven, 23, of 407 Whyne Road, Jersey Shore; Montoursville police; possession of methamphetamines, possession of adderall pills without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 700 block of Broad Street on Oct. 23; released on $5,000 bail.

• David Smith, 57, of 1414 Elwood Road; state police; misdemeanor shoplifting for allegedly stealing $29 worth of merchandise from the Wines and Spirits Store, 1939 E. Third St., on June 1; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

• Zachary Maggs, 27, of 364 Lyons Ave.; Lycoming County District Attorney’s Office; contraband for allegedly bringing suboxone in the Lycoming County Prison pre-release center on County Farm Road when he was an inmate at the facility on May 26; released on $75,000 bail.

• Landon Washington, 26, of 690 Third Ave.; city police; possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 1000 block of Isabella Street on Nov. 18, 2018; released on $1,500 bail.

• Gale Snook, 54, of Mill Hall; city police; possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 600 block of Grier Street on Sept. 1, 2018; a bench warrant for his arrest was expected to be filed after he failed to appear for a preliminary hearing.
