Woman arrested after highway chase
Shaniece Alexandria Wilson, 26, of 6155 Lycoming Creek Road, was arrested and jailed on $100,000 bail on May 27 after allegedly driving 110 miles per hour, fleeing from police personnel in a chase on Interstate 180.
Wilson, who was first seen driving 70 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone coming southbound off the Route 15 ramp, continued to accelerate away from officers exceeding 110 miles per hour continuing through until coming to rest on south Route 2014 in Loyalsock around 9:02 p.m.
She was later identified to have a suspended photo ID and did not have a valid state driver’s license alongside fraudulent emissions and inspection stickers according to the affidavit.
Wilson was also allegedly in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and an open alcohol can.
According to court records, Wilson also admitted to drinking and ingesting illegal drugs.
She was charged with manufacture, deliver or possess with intent to manufacture or deliver marijuana and cocaine, fleeing or attempting to elude officer, possession of a controlled substance, possession of small amount of marijuana, possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, DUI, forged or counterfeit documents and plates, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct, registration and certificate of title required, display of registration plate, unauthorized transfer or use of registration, drivers required to be licensed, driving while operating privilege is suspended, required financial responsibility, driving on roadways laned for traffic, driving vehicle at safe speeds, maximum speed limits, careless driving, reckless driving, restriction on alcoholic beverages and operation of vehicle without official certificate of inspection.
Wilson will appear before Judge Gary Whiteman on Monday, June 1 for her preliminary hearing.
