Man lands in jail after allegedly sending threats via social media

Adam Baggett, 32, of Scranton, has been locked up on charges for allegedly sending threatening messages to three victims through social media, according to state Trooper Michael Adams.

“I think I have enough to take an Uber to the house and hack up ‘K’s’ face with a hammer” Baggett allegedly said in a message he sent on Sept. 23, Adams said.

“Anyone who tries to stop (me), will get butchered right on the kitchen counter next to him,” he said in another message to a second person on Sunday, Adams alleged in an affidavit. The trooper did not identify any of the victims by name.

In another message he sent also on Sunday, Baggett allegedly said “‘K’ will bite the dust soon,” Adams said.

All the threats were received at 2160 Northway Road in Loyalsock township, the trooper added.

Following his arraignment late Sunday night before District Judge Jerry C. Lepley on four counts each of terroristic threats and harassment and one count of recklessly endangering, Baggett was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail.
