Jersey Shore man allegedly had meth, marijuana in garage

Travis Nichols, 36, of 314 Oak St., Jersey Shore, allegedly had crystal meth and marijuana in the garage behind his home when Tiadaghton Valley Police searched it Jan. 19.

Justin Segura, a Tiadaghton Valley officer, said police investigated the area after receiving calls about a woman allegedly banging on the garage doors and yelling about a man having meth and “doing stuff” in the garage.

The man, Nichols, allegedly denied having drugs in the garage, called the situation “bull(expletive) and crazy” and walked out of the garage.

“Based off my training and experience, I have learned that people tend to separate themselves from the narcotics, which I believe that this is what Travis was doing,” Segura wrote.

Nichols then gave permission for police to search the garage, and allegedly admitted to having marijuana inside.

Segura allegedly found a gram of crystal methamphetamine, two grams of marijuana, a glass smoking devise for methamphetamine and a working digital scale with meth residue.

District Judge Jerry Lepley sent Nichols a summons for charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use and possession of marijuana.

Sparling allegedly attempted to have Eck bring the pony to a veterinarian multiple times throughout December 2020, according to the affidavit. According to both the veterinarian who had been contacted as well as Sparling, Eck allegedly did not respond.

District Judge Jerry Lepley sent Eck a summons for her to appear for a preliminary hearing Feb. 10 for charges of neglect to animal.

Jersey Shore man allegedly beat girlfriend over meth pipe

Samuel Collins, 41, of 405 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, allegedly beat his girlfriend after she refused to allow him to smoke meth, according to Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police.

Collins allegedly threw ice at his girlfriend when she refused to give him his meth pipe, according to Cody Smith, a Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police officer.

“(The victim) explained that she would not allow Samuel Collins to smoke more methamphetamine and drive,” Smith said.

Collins’ girlfriend allegedly dropped the glass pipe when she was hit with ice, which smashed on the floor, according to Smith.

At that point, Collins allegedly began yelling and punched his girlfriend, which officers said allegedly caused her face to be red and swollen.

After the incident, Collins allegedly went to his mother’s house.

“Collins was animated and appeared to be on a stimulant. He was taken into custody where he stated that he did smack [the victim],” Smith wrote.

District Judge Jerry Lepley arraigned Collins on charges of simple assault and harassment and set bail to $5,000. Unable to post, Collins will remain in the Lycoming County Prison until his preliminary hearing Feb. 10.

Collins is not to have any contact with the victim.

Woman arraigned on drug charges

Crystal Stone, 34, of Covington, allegedly had drugs and paraphernalia on her when the driver of a car she was in was pulled over by Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police for not having its headlights on back in September of 2020.

Stone, who was sitting in the rear-passenger seat in the 2006 Saturn Ion Sept. 25, allegedly moved around a lot and bent down out of sight, according to Cody Smith, a Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police Officer.

“These movements were not consistent with passengers during most traffic stop,” Smith said.

A fellow officer allegedly observed marijuana in plain view, and Stone allegedly said there was “ice” in the car as well.

At that point, officers searched the vehicle and found crystal methamphetamine alongside marijuana, a methamphetamine pipe and a bowl packed with marijuana.

“These items were all found in Stone’s possession,” Smith said. “Stone did admit to trying to hide these illegal items when I stopped them.”
