Five face drug charges in district court
Cadence Coleman, 26, of 508 Washington Ave., Jersey Shore, has been charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly having 58 grams of methamphetamines as well as an undisclosed amount of marijuana on Route 220 in Porter Township about 2:30 a.m. on Dec. 31, Tiadaghton Valley Regional police said. Following her arraignment before District Judge Jerry C. Lepley, she was released on $1,500 bail.
In another case, Harvey Grant Edwards, 45, of 1532 W. Fourth St., has been charged by the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU) with delivery of a controlled substance and illegal use of a cellphone for allegedly selling an undisclosed amount of heroin to an undercover officer and an informant in the 1600 block of West Fourth Street in the city on March 19, according to court records. Following his arraignment before District Judge Aaron Biichle, he was released on $85,000 bail.
In another case, NEU investigators have charged Keneef Bonaparte, 28, of Philadelphia, with the same offenses for allegedly selling seven grams of methamphetamines to an undercover officer in the 1800 block of East Third Street in Loyalsock Township on Feb. 9, according to court records. Currently an inmate at the state Correctional Institution at Smithfield (Fayette County), Bonaparte remains behind bars in lieu of $25,000 bail that was ordered by District Judge Gary Whiteman.
In another case, Avery Diggs, 33, of Newark, New Jersey, has been charged with delivery of a controlled substance for allegedly possessing an estimated 42 grams of cocaine that was seized when a search warrant was executed at a business on Route 15 in South Williamsport on June 28, court records stated. Following his arraignment last week before Whiteman, he was jailed in lieu of $75,000 bail.
State police have charged Miranda Bingaman, 23, of Milton, with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamines and possession of several narcotics without a prescription in the 1900 block of East Third Street last Jan. 15, court records stated. She is free on $25,000 bail. Co-defendant Daniel Engleman, was charged earlier this year and is also free on bail.
