3 people face drug charges in separate cases

Cassandra Garcia, 36, of 730 First St., has been charged by state police with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly having three bags of heroin and a plastic container of crack cocaine on East Third Street in Loyalsock Township on June 22, state police said in court papers filed at Whiteman’s office. She is free on $5,000 bail.

Meghan P. Good, 36, of 117 W. Sixth Ave., South Williamsport, has been charged by the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU) with possession with intent to deliver controlled substances after three grams of methamphetamines and four grams of cocaine were discovered in her home as investigators executed a search warrant there, according to court papers. Following her recent arraignment before Whiteman, she was jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Jamal Bennett, 45, of 312 Park St., has been charged by NEU with delivery of a controlled substance for allegedly selling two grams of crack cocaine to an undercover officer for $200 in the city’s Newberry neighborhood on March 18. Following his arraignment before District Judge Christian Frey, he remains jailed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
