Husband, wife charged with shoplifting
Walter Jackson, 58, and his wife, Angela Jackson, 44, both of 722 Fourth Ave., face shoplifting charges for stealing $61 worth of merchandise from the Weis Market, 1916 Lycoming Creek Road between June 29 and July 26, Old Lycoming Township police alleged in court papers.
While Walter’s charge is a misdemeanor, Angela’s is a felony because she already has five shoplifting convictions, police said. Walter Jackson also is accused of stealing $187 of merchandise from the supermarket on June 18, police alleged. Both were recently arraigned before District Judge William Solomon and jailed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail each.
