Alleged drug dealer incarcerated

Darren J. Barr, 36, of Philadelphia, remains behind bars on drug charges after he allegedly sold several bricks of heroin to a confidential informant on two occasions, according to court records filed by state police.

The first sale occurred on Aug. 9 and the second one happened on Oct 5, investigators alleged, adding that both sales occurred in Montoursville. Taken into custody immediately following the second sale, Barr was arraigned before District Judge Jon E. Kemp on four counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and illegal use of a communication device, and jailed in lieu of $150,000 bail.

In another drug case, this one filed by the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit at Frey’s office, Cheyanna Wright, 26, of 750 W. Edwin St., apartment 4G, was charged with possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia in her apartment on Jan. 27. She has been sent a summons to appear the judge.
