Woman faces charges for allegedly assaulting sister during Muncy prison visit

While she and her sister were visiting an inmate at the state Correctional Institution at Muncy on the afternoon of Nov. 11, Paulette Gerrow got into an argument with the sister which soon turned physical with Gerrow, 30, of Jamaica, New York, assaulting the woman by punching her and pulling her hair, it was alleged in a state police said. Before attacking her sister, Gerrow was holding her 2-year-old son, whom she dropped on a table after she splashed her sister with coffee, police said. The incident took place in the prison’s visiting room and was caught on the facility’s security cameras, police said. Gerrow’s sister suffered “a small abrasion beneath her right eye,” police said in the document, The prison is on Route 405 in Clinton Township. Charged with endangering the welfare of a child, disorderly conduct and harassment, Gerrow has waived her preliminary hearing and is free on $5,000 bail
