Running fugitive nabbed quickly by city police
Standing at West Fourth and Park streets about 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 4, fugitive Tramane Moore, wanted on two bench warrants, saw a city police officer getting out of a cruiser so he took off running, according to an affidavit. Moore, 36, who has been arrested at least three times for shoplifting, fled through a backyard parking area and jumped a fence, but he was quickly apprehended, the court document stated. He was automatically placed in the Lycoming County Prison on the bench warrants. Such warrants are often filed when an individual has failed to meet a requirement ordered by a judge. Moore has been arraigned before District Judge Christian Frey on a felony charge of flight to avoid apprehension and a misdemeanor charge of evading arrest, and recommitted in lieu of $15,000 bail. He recently waived his preliminary hearing last week.
