Sunny and blue skies expected for election day Tuesday
Primary election day Tuesday is slated to be among next week’s best days for weather, according to the National Weather Service in State College. Scattered thunderstorms may be prevalent later in the week.
A high of 70 degrees is expected for primary election day, with mostly sunny weather, according to David Martin, meteorologist with the weather service. The low for the night will be around 46 degrees.
Monday, will be a warmer day with a high of 81 degrees. There may be a light morning rain, but otherwise dry, said Martin. Lows will be around 48 degrees for the day.
Another cooler day will follow Tuesday, again with no rain expected, but a few clouds may be visible. Temperatures may fall down to around 55 degrees that night.
Thursday, is slated to have scattered thunderstorms with a high of 80 degrees, before falling to around 61 degrees.
“There could be a chance of rain, Friday,” said Martin. Highs will be in the lower-80s for a cloudy day, lows will be around 61 degrees.
A rainy and warm weekend is expected, with highs for both Saturday and Sunday to be in the low-80s. Late afternoon scattered thunderstorms may work their way through the area, according to Martin.
