Volunteer companies respond to truck fire near DuBoistown


Volunteer firefighters from DuBoistown and Nisbet responded to the Armstrong Township building on Waterdale Road about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday when DuBoistown’s maintenance truck caught fire. The cause of the fire was ruled accidental, and the truck, a 2004 Chevrolet, was a total loss, according to investigators. Also on Tuesday, two small fires — ruled as cooking accidents — occurred in Loyalsock Township. The first in the 2600 block of Haas Lane about 2 p.m. and the other in the 1800 block of Hazel Drive at 6 p.m. One person was temporarily displaced in the second incident.
