Commissioners OK election tech contract
Lycoming County Commissioners approved an $18,745 contract with Northern Machine Works for technology to help prepare for elections during their regular weekly meeting Thursday.
It is expected to be a one-time cost to help the county comply with new regulations regarding voter ballots.
In other action, commissioners agreed to a five-year renewal contract for a stormwater permit involving earth-moving operations at Timber Run Industrial Park near the county landfill.
County policies and procedures involving communication devices were approved by commissioners.
John G. Himes and Christopher H. Kenyon were appointed as assistant solicitors for the county.
Commissioners approved the following personnel for promotions and pay increases:
• Kelle B. Robinson, Department of Public Services/EMA manager, $54,915.
• Beth A. Baylor, Department of Public Services, communications manager, $69,627.
• Natalie S. Steppe, Veteran Affairs, assistant director, $20.99 per hour.
The commissioners approved hiring three personnel: Lacy Holmes, Veteran Affairs, clerk, $15.22 per hour; Patrick E. Riedy, Pre-Release Center, resident supervisor, $15.22 per hour; and Shelia E. Caldwell, Pre-Release Center, part-time resident supervisor, $14.14 per hour.
The next commissioners meeting is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday in Executive Plaza, 330 Pine St.
