Commissioners to consider personnel, child welfare contracts
Lycoming County commissioners are expected to take action on a number of personnel issues as well as contracts for child welfare services at their meeting Thursday.
Various positions are being considered for reclassification as part of a reorganization of staff in the maintenance department.
The reorganization could result in the reduction of one custodial position.
Child welfare contracts will include those with agencies providing emergency shelter, foster care, child advocacy, youth workforce development and other services.
Annual human services development contracts with American Rescue Workers and YMCA Liberty House for emergency shelter needs and Firetree Place for life skills educational services also may be on the agenda Thursday.
Commissioners were asked to consider a resolution to authorize submission of an H20 state grant application of $1.1 million to the Commonwealth Financing Authority for cross pipe construction of the levee project.
Also expected on the agenda is a request to approve payment of $7,925 to WSP USA Corp. for aerial photography of the county landfill.
Thursday’s meeting is set for 10 a.m. at the Executive Plaza, 330 Pine St., Williamsport.
