Lycoming County Commissioners are expected to act on personnel, bids, service contracts and other business at their Thursday meeting.

They were presented Tuesday with personnel to be hired or promoted to various county positions in the Department of Public Services, Resource Management Services, Pre-Release Center, and the District Attorney and Sheriff’s offices.

Commissioners will consider contracts with Commonwealth Equipment Corp. and Recycling Equipment Corp. for equipment repair work on an-as-needed basis at the county landfill.

Commissioners will consider a contract with Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers for evaluating and treating juvenile males who are sexual offenders.

A $70,000 agreement between the county and the YWCA to provide rental housing for abused women and their children in need of shelter is up for approval.

Thursday’s meeting is set for 10 a.m. at the Executive Plaza, 330 Pine St., Williamsport.
