Woodward supers publicize no-tax increase budget
LINDEN — Woodward Township supervisors presented a no-tax increase budget proposal as well as unanimously approved a resolution to remove the township from the West Branch Emergency Management Association on Wednesday evening.
The proposed 2020 township budget does not have a tax increase or decrease. The municipal and real estate millage will remain 0.514, meaning a property assessed at $100,000 would be charged $51.40.
The budget will be available for public review at the township building and is expected to be adopted at the next meeting, slated for 7 p.m. Dec. 18 at the township building on Route 220.
In another matter, in 2010, the township signed on to be part of the West Branch Emergency Management Association, but has now decided to opt out as the township does not have an integral part in it, supervisors said.
The approved resolution will officially dissolve the relationship between the association and the township on Dec. 31.
In other business, the supervisors have not made a decision on the current vacancy on the zoning hearing board but are still viewing information for potential members.
The township supervisors and solicitor did engage in an executive session, no decisions were made.
All three supervisors were present: Jack Coleman, Alan Worth and Wayne Robinson.
