County Commissioners address personnel, contracts
Lycoming County Commissioners approved personnel hirings and took care of other business at their meeting Thursday.
Tiffany Bartholomew and Devin Bailey were hired as full-time correctional officers at the hourly wage of $16.81 per hour. Each has a starting date of Monday.
In another personnel move, Craig D. Konkle was reclassified as an emergency management specialist at an annual salary of $51,015.
Commissioners approved contracts to provide recycling pickups for Union County as well as Milton, Freeburg, Selinsgrove and Monroe Township.
Contracts with Murrysville Machinery Co. LLC and CH Reed for county landfill needs were approved.
The former agreement covers maintenance and emergency repairs. The latter is for service to air compressors.
Also approved was a change order of $96,962 for a rain flap for stormwater-related issues at Field 12 of the landfill.
Commissioners also approved:
• A contract with DELL Marketing L.P. for accounting software needs.
• An amendment to an agreement with Clear Ballot Group for county voting system equipment to address absentee ballots.
• An agreement with Columbia County for housing of county inmates on an as-needed basis.
The next commissioners meeting is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17 at the Executive Plaza, 330 Pine St., Williamsport.
