Standoff ends after troopers shoot barricaded man

MANSFIELD — A man who held state police in a 14-hour standoff in Tioga County on Tuesday and shot at troopers injuring two of the them was shot and killed early this morning by a state police special emergency response team, state police at Mansfield said.

The man who barricaded himself in a residence on Barney Hill Road in Nelson Township was killed by a special emergency response team of troopers at 2 a.m., police said.
