Airport authority approves $799K for snow removal
The Williamsport Municipal Airport Authority approved a $798,991 payment for snow removal equipment and took care of other business during its regular monthly meeting Thursday.
Richard Howell, airport authority director, said the equipment will allow for more efficient clearing of snow from runways.
“It does a great job,” he said.
A loan agreement of $585,000 with Pennsylvania Infrastructure Bank was approved for funding of a fuel farm, hangar doors and roofing.
Approved also were payments for the new restaurant project.
They were: Lundy Construction, $6,456 and $24,469; LTS Plumbing, $5,175; and Cipriani Electric, $3,291.
The Authority approved termination of a tenant lease with Beacon Roofing Supply, Inc. It was noted the Beacon vacated the airport property in December.
