Bestselling novelist set to speak at gala
New York Times bestselling author David Baldacci, who lives in Virginia, has published 40 novels for adults, all of which have been national or international bestsellers, according to biographical information on the author’s website. Several of his novels have been adapted for film and television.
His latest novel, “One Good Deed”, a thriller set during the World War II era, was released last summer and spent several weeks on the New York Times bestselling list.
In 2008 his family’s “Wish You Well Foundation”, which supports family and adult literacy, partnered with Feeding America to sponsor a program aimed at the connection between literacy, poverty and hunger. The program collects and distributes books through food banks to families in need..
Past featured authors included Lisa See, Dennis Lehane and Louise Penny, to name just a few from recent years.
The gala is held in the fall and is the main fundraiser for the library.
According to Robin Glossner, the library’s development director, reservations are not being taken until details on sponsorships are established.
