Comms encourage virtual attendance

Due to the COVID-19 crisis and its associated risks, the Lycoming County commissioners will conduct their regularly scheduled work sessions on Tuesdays and the regular public meetings on Thursdays through live-streaming, according to a news release.

Members of the public are encouraged not to attend these meetings in person in order to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Employees that are working remotely will join by conference call to brief commissioners on respective action items.

Employees and residents may access the live streams from the county website, www.lyco.org. From here, community members may also access draft meeting agendas or submit questions and public comments

“While this may not be the optimal solution, this necessary action is in the interest of the safety of our residents and employees alike,” the news release said.
