Loyalsock Township OKs 2020 paving bid
The Loyalsock Township supervisors approved the 2020 paving bid and the Center for Healthy Aging facility use agreement at their meeting on Tuesday.
This meeting, though closed to the public, still allowed public comment via letter, phone call and email, according to Bill Burdett, township manager.
The facility use agreement is for the new addition that was added onto the Loyalsock Recreation Center, located at 2501 E. Third St. This agreement is between the township and STEP to share the use of the addition for senior programing and for youth and after school programs.
There was supposed to be a grand opening for this addition, however it was postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak according to Burdett.
At the previous meeting, the supervisors approved other construction bids for stone, materials, line painting and sealcoat.
The 2020 paving bid was approved and awarded to Big Rock Paving for $299,000 for paving in the township.
Though the township office is not open to the public, the staff at the township is still available to speak over the phone for any additional questions.
